APPLIATION:
RENO GRUNT PRO - 04 primer is recommended for painting by airless sprayers. Superbly decreases and levels uneven absorptivity of mineral
and porous surfaces as well as other previously painted areas, that over the time lost their characteristics. Proper application of this
primer also effectively strengthens surfaces that are intended for wallpaper or ceramic tiles. Application of this primer before painting
with dispersion paint will increase efficiency. RENO GRUNT PRO - 04 primer is recommended for such surfaces as: concrete walls, sheetrock,
bricks, thermo-insulating systems etc. This product can be used with any dispersion paint or acrylic plasters, but is specially
recommended for use with other MALFARB paints and plaster products.
PREPARING SURFACES:
When applying this product for reinforcement purposes, surfaces should be clean, free of any dirt and oil stains. Method of application
highly depends on tools used, absorpivity and porousness of the surface. Taking these factors into consideration, a test should be
performed on few square meter area, to determine amount of required coats and potential dilution rate.
When working area is significantly greasy and stained, triple application may be necessary (`wet on dry` method). Surfaces that are only
slightly greasy should be primed twice and then painted, or just once, but a painting test should be performed to determine if greasy
stains are visible. Please keep in mind, that one coat of paint applied on such an over-primed surface should be diluted with water at
a rate of 1:1.
PREPARATION OF PRODUCT:
When painting fresh, very absorptive surfaces 1:1 dilution of this product is allowed (`wet on dry` method). If extended strengthening
of surface is required, undiluted application is recommended. The product should not be applied during rain, fog, when temperatures are
below +5oC and in direct sun.
When working with very absorptive surfaces and thick coats designated for reinforcement, we recommend `wet on dry` method, which assures
appropriately deep absorption of RENO GRUNTU PRO-04. It this case, water dilution at a rate of 1:1 is recommended (higher rate of
dilution is recommended when temperature exceeds 30oC or surface is very hot).
APPLICATION:
RENO GRUNTU PRO-04 is recommended for painting by airless sprayer, but if necessary can be applied with other painting tools
(brushes, rollers).
