APPLICATION:
This paint is designed for painting internal walls and ceilings.
It is ideal for painting new surfaces and pre-painted surfaces
such as: plasterboards, concrete, brick, wallpaper, wood,
chipboard and plywood. It creates a tough aesthetic matt finish.
At special request can be made in other colours as per colour
palette.
Note: Room can be used after
the specific smell of the paint disperses.
PREPARING SURFACES:
LATEX MATT requires a dry set surface, cleaned of grease,
dust and pealing existing coatings, smooth and crack free.
While painting ensure that the room humidity does not exceed
80%. On fresh surfaces 2 coats are required, on pre-painted
surfaces 1 or 2 coats depending on the condition of the existing
surface, the quality of the coating, and the previous colour.
Absorbent surfaces should be primed with a light coating of
Aktiv grunt (Active Primer) and as primer paint with LATEX
MATT or GIPS-MAL (in case of vitrification of the surface,
dilute the primer with water in a ratio 1:1)
Note:
Painting a weak surface might cause bubbles and peeling
Plasters and various surfaces containing cement & lime
require a 28-day carbonisation period. Skipping this might
totally destroy the finish of the fresh paint coating.
USAGE:
The paint should be thoroughly mixed before use (do not use
high speed mixers). This paint can not be diluted with water,
even for the first coat. For painting you should use tool
that are recommended for use with Latex paints. Additional
coats can be applied after 2 hrs under standard room conditions
(20°C and 60% humidity).
EFFICIENCY:
Average usage for a single coating is approx. 0.08- 0.11 l/m2.
