APPLICATION:
ACRYLIC C is recommended for decorative and protective painting
of elevations on various surfaces such as cement and lime cement
plasters, cement sheets, concrete, aerated concrete, brick,
stone, acrylic and mineral plaster, plasterboards, fillers,
wallpapers and wood (impregnated). Thanks to its hydrophobic
characteristics, it gives effective protection against water.
The vapour permeable characteristics are unchanged - "the
elevation breathes".
Note: Room can be used after the specific smell of the paint
disperses.
PREPARING SURFACES:
Surfaces should be dry, free of dust dirt and grease. In case
of problems with grease spots and/or there is a need to strengthen
or reduce the absorption of the surfaces, a light coating of
a deep penetrating primer such as Aktiv
grunt (Active Primer) is recommended.
NOTE:
Painting a weak surface might cause bubbles and peeling in the
spring the following year.
Painting a surface that is too absorbent can drastically lower
efficiency, which increases the cost.
Plasters and various surfaces containing cement & lime require
a 28-day carbonisation period. Skipping this might totally destroy
the finish of the fresh paint coating.
USAGE:
The paint should be thoroughly mixed before use (do not use
high speed mixers). A.C. can be applied with various tools (brush,
roller or spray), but for painting with brush you should thin
the paint with drinking water (approx 5 - 10%) especially on
surfaces with high porosity. For decorative effect 2 coats of
paint are normally required. With earthen colours (brown, sand,
black, brick red, beige, sahara) it is possible to achieve the
right effect with a single coat (remember, the more efficiency
you try to achieve, the more coats may be required). In case
of colours such as yellow green, red, dark blue, orange, violet
it is good for the first coat to whiten with Acrylic E (also
for interiors) in the following proportions: for each 1 l colour
we add 0.15-0.2 l Acrylic E. This allows you to gain a background
colour appropriate to the final intended topcoat, and reduces
costs especially when changing colour (e.g. blue to yellow or
red to green) and ensures an even application of paint. A subsequent
layer can be applied normally after 4 hrs under standard room
conditions (20°C and 60% humidity).
Note: Recommended
types of roller: flock, velour and wool.
EFFICIENCY:
Average usage for a single coating approx. 0.15 l/m2, although
smooth and low absorptive surfaces this is typically 0.1 - 0.12
l/m2. With highly porous surfaces the usage can rise to as much
as 0.2 l/m2.
STORAGE, USE AND TRANSPORT:
A.C. should be stored, used and transported in its originally
closed packaging at a temperature of +5° - +35°C (also
includes surface temperature) and in clean dry conditions. Protect
from frost.
BEST BEFORE: 2
years from date of production
SAFETY:
S2 Keep away from children
S26 In the event of eye contact wash with large quantities of
water and consult your doctor.
